Heavy Hailstorm Hits Dardkote Uri, Farmers Fear Crop Damage.

Uri, April 19: A sudden and intense hailstorm struck Dardkote village in Uri (Baramulla) this afternoon, covering rooftops and courtyards with a thick layer of hailstones. Dark clouds gathered quickly, followed by heavy hail that resembled ice pellets falling from the sky.

According to the Meteorological Department, this weather activity is due to a western disturbance affecting the region. Locals and farmers expressed concern about potential damage to crops, especially as the hailstorm came at a critical farming stage.

Authorities have advised residents to remain indoors during such conditions and keep track of weather updates for safety.
