5-Day Training Programme on Inclusive Education Concludes at DIET Poonch.
POONCH, FEBRUARY 22: A five-day training programme on Inclusive Education under NISHTHA successfully concluded today at DIET Poonch.
The programme was organized under the direction of the the Director SCERT, Prakshit Singh Manhas, and Professor Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu. The training was supervised by Parkash Lal Thapa, Principal DIET Poonch, and coordinated by Muzafar Hussain (Sr. Lecturer) and Altaf Ahmed (Sr. Lecturer).
The training aimed to equip educators with the necessary knowledge, skills, and strategies to foster inclusive learning environments. Various sessions were conducted on key topics, including the RPW Act 2016, RTE Act, NEP-2020, Samagra Shiksha, disabilities and their intervention strategies, gender education, assistive devices, universal design for learning (UDL), and the role of teachers in inclusive education.
Eminent resource persons, including. Haroon Rathore (Sr. Lecturer), Anwar Khan (Sr. Lecturer), Harish Kumar, Ajay Maini, Tariq Mehmood, Divjot Singh, Sauda Begum, and Nazar Ali Naqvi, delivered insightful sessions during the training.
A total of 129 participants, including Sr. Lecturers, Lecturers, Masters, and Teachers from across the district, actively took part in the training programme.
The valedictory function was presided over by Manmohan Singh, HoD, in the presence of Ashok Kumar, Sr. Academic Officer SCERT. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of DIET Poonch in successfully organizing this training programme and emphasized the importance of inclusive education in ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all students.
The programme concluded with feedback sessions, distribution of certificates, and a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, resource persons, and participants for their valuable contributions.
