Hope on Earth Welfare Trust J&K organises one-day mega blood donation camp at PHC Boniyar

40 pints of blood collected from dedicated donors

Uri, July 3 : Hope on Earth Welfare Trust J&K, in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla and Public Health Centre (PHC) Boniyar, successfully conducted a mega blood donation camp at PHC Boniyar.

The camp was inaugurated by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Uri and the Block Medical Officer (BMO) Boniyar. Both the SDPO and the Station House Officer (SHO) Boniyar were among the first to donate blood, encouraging youth who gathered in large numbers to participate in this noble cause.

Speaking to the media, the official spokesperson of the organisation said, “The main objective of this blood donation camp was to make blood available for poor and downtrodden families from Uri and Boniyar. This initiative will inspire hundreds to come forward and donate blood for this noble cause.”

“After the successful conduct of the blood donation camp at PHC Boniyar, we are committed to organising such camps in different tehsils of Baramulla district. We started this initiative from Boniyar because we believe charity begins at home. Our volunteers were the first to donate blood, and we will make sure to continue this effort whenever and wherever required,” the spokesperson further added.

It is pertinent to mention that Hope on Earth Welfare Trust J&K had earlier conducted a blood donation camp at SDH Uri, where 30 pints of blood were collected and handed over to Government Medical College Baramulla.
