FCS&CA Baramulla Conducts Inspection and Internal Adjustment Drive in Uri’s Far-Flung Areas

Baramulla, Sept 13 (JK Border Times): The Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department Baramulla on Friday carried out an extensive inspection and internal adjustment exercise in the far-flung areas of Uri Tehsil.

The inspection team was led by Sheikh Tariq(KAS) Assistant Director FCS&CA Baramulla, along with Tehsil Supply Officer Uri Mohammad Farook Khan, Headquarters Clerk Javid Ahmed, and Storekeeper Kamal kote Irshad Hussain . The visit covered Sale Centre Kamal kote, Sale Centre Sultandaki, and Madian, where the team reviewed ration distribution, stock availability, and progress of eKYC completion.

During the visit, the Assistant Director directed field staff to ensure punctual and hassle-free ration delivery and emphasized the importance of completing eKYC of all beneficiaries to avoid deletion of names and to facilitate a smooth and transparent distribution process. He instructed that regular eKYC drives be conducted in remote areas so that no eligible beneficiary is left out.

At Madian, the inspection also witnessed the participation of senior and respected local residents, including National Conference senior leader Syed Imtayaz Hussain Shah, retired Master and NC senior worker Rasheed Hussain Manhas, Syed Sadakat Hussain, Syed Mir Hussain, Altaf Hussain Manhas, and Bagh Hussain Kataria, along with other locals.

The local residents welcomed the inspection drive and appreciated the department’s focus on transparency. They particularly valued the emphasis on eKYC, stating it would safeguard genuine beneficiaries. They further urged the department to conduct such monitoring visits regularly, ensuring grievances are addressed on time and ration supply remains uninterrupted.

One of the elders remarked, “When officials visit and listen to people in border villages, it assures us that our concerns are being heard and transparency is maintained.”

The FCS&CA Department reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely delivery of ration supplies in all regions, including the remote and border areas of Uri.
